i did something very random...

My cousin Gita got me a bus ticket heading to Mexico last Saturday and i decided that i was gonna go ahead and go. so i did, because i could.

but that is not the random part.

we had seven rest stops and three bus switches from here to Texas. and i was fine.

but once i got closer and closer to the Mexico/USA border the more i thought about it. so when i got to the rest stop at Texas i didn't get on again.... yeah, Random and stupid.

my plan was to actually get on a differnt bus and head to California. i had lived in Santana before i moved to North Carolina and i remember even though the life i lived there weren't the best times of my life, maybe that was exactly what i needed.

I remembered that my uncle lived in Texas though. he lives in Serenity, and i thought 'why not?'

to be honest, i havent heard from my uncle since he sent me a card with $500 for my graduation gift. but that didnt discourage me. i knew my grandmother knew his address because he sent her money alll the time. so i called her and told her that i missed the bus, and that i needed to get in touch with him so that i could have a place to stay with for a while.

pretty much i went to his house and he didnt live in Huston anymore so his ex girlfriend told me where he lived. i got a rental car to Serentiy and i was done.

my uncle has a wife and kids... which i found surpriseing!!!!!

he swore he would never marry!!! and it was a big shocker for me to have his wife open the door me.

i talked to my mother and she was just happy/upset kinda. she was relieved that i didnt leave to Mexico, because she wasnt gonna be there to show me around herslef, and she was upset cuz she got a call from my grandmother saying that i lost my bus and didnt have anywhere to stay. i stayed at a hotel for a night though.

so it wasnt so bad.

Serentiy isnt all that bad though. i could honestly get used to living here. its a quiet town where everyone know everyone and everything about everything. i love it! its so different from Burlington. there is Marie (a waitress from the diner) Paul (a rancher) Danny (Paul's help) and James (a mechanic). they have got to be the coolest people here. and i yes, i have met other people here my age, but for some reason i have found the older people to be much better conversationalist then the younger crowd.

they are very wise and always seem to have a vast amount of information on how things were 'back in the day' and to my total amazement, it isnt boring at all.

but they have all told me that i really dont beling here, and they are right. i have to get back to Burlington. just not right now. i told my cousin that i would go back home soon, but i dont know just how near 'soon' will be,

i love it here. there are no problems and everyone is wonderful. its my piece of heaven. maybe i will come back someday. i can see why my unlce decided to live there.
